During die casting liquid non-ferrous metals are injected into a hard metal die at high pressure. Commonly used materials are aluminium, zinc, copper, magnesium and tin alloys. Die casting metal is particularly used for serial production. The die costs are higher than for other casting techniques, but the production speed is considerably higher making this technique suitable for series production.
